Eligibility Criteria Details
With an aim to provide quality education and skills services through the UDGI FOUNDATION, a categorization of these centers is done. For the purpose of the UDGI Academy, education programs include skill programs.
The following steps are followed to get approval for a FRANCHISE to be certified as a UDGI Academy:
ï‚·Any Compute Center interested to get their FRANCHISE registered as UDGI Academy, are required to check their eligibility based on the criteria laid down below.
ï‚·New Entry - Block wise UDGI Academy will be verified by district nodal officers, based on online registration by FRANCHISE.
ï‚·Increase markets and reach new customers.
ï‚·New Entry - DC/DM identify a good (According to UDGI Academy criteria) and interested center who wants to become a UDGI Academy center but they have to register first as a FRANCHISE then they able to register as a UDGI Academy center.
ï‚·VLE registers by filling online form, registration fees and upload signed affidavit..
ï‚·Post submission of the online form the State team shall do a physical verification.
ï‚·Based on the verification, the UDGI Academy central team shall consider providing a provisional approval for the FRANCHISE to be certified under UDGI Academy.
ï‚·All UDGI Academy FRANCHISE shall have some level of uniformity e.g. UDGI Academy sign-board outside the center, wall coloring, records management, and those notified from time-to-time by the state and district nodal officers of UDGI Academy. All UDGI Academy FRANCHISE shall comply to the uniformity standards within the time-frame as notified.
ï‚·From time-to-time regular audit and verification shall be done by the central team of UDGI Academy. During the process, if any UDGI Academy FRANCHISE is found not adhering to the notified standards, shall be liable to be terminated with immediate effect or given a time frame to comply.
UDGI Academy Minimum Requirements:
ï‚·Center Carpet area -Minimum 800 sq.ft
ï‚·One reception Desk
ï‚·Two Computer Lab classrooms
ï‚·Sitting capacity for 30 students in at least one classroom
ï‚·One Sign Display Board of UDGI Academy size – 6ft X 3ft
ï‚·One Notice Board
ï‚·At least 15 desktop computers/laptops with webcam and headphone
ï‚·One printer
ï‚·One scanner(A4 size)
ï‚·One biometric device
ï‚·One projector
ï‚·Preferred License Software for all Computers- Operating System
ï‚·Preferred License Software for all Computers – MS-OFFICE/ Open Office or Open Source Software
ï‚·Power Backup (UPS/Inverter / Generator etc.)
ï‚·All Systems Connected with LAN
ï‚·Internet speed connectivity (1 mbps)
ï‚·Atleast one full-time and part-time lab/teaching staff
